The property has 88-feet of sandy beach frontage and great swimming, with a dock and a 13’ Boston Whaler 40 hp outboard.  A swim platform is available for use.  Heart Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Michigan and we see the bottom easily in 16 feet or more of water!!   There are no weeds, there is plenty of sand and the water is about 4 feet deep at 50 feet from shore.  The lake is deep (135’ in center) and is an all sports lake with “quiet times” from 7:30 pm to 11:00 am in which there is no high speed boating – a real advantage for a quiet evening to cruise around the lake, for the fishermen and to enjoy the sunset in peace and quiet.  Boating, fishing, jet skiing, sailing, white sand beach, clean water – it is all there at your front door.  From lake deck, you can enjoy cooking and eating your meals at the lakeside, and be a part of the beach scene while being in the shade – or you can enjoy the sun on the beach or the dock.

  Heart Lake is the perfect location for families with kids, boat, jet skis, fishermen, golfers, skiers, snow boarders, snowmobiles, hunters, bicycles, canoes, kayaks, hikers, bird watchers, and Morel mushroom hunters. And is perfectly situated to ALL the major attractions in Northern Michigan – from Mackinaw Island to Traverse City to Petoskey to Alpena – all are an easy 1 hour drive from Heart Lake .
